Our founder is Dr Sibongile Vilakazi, a Research Psychologist with a PhD in Organizational Development and Diversity Management. She completed her PhD at Wits Business School (WBS) in 2015 and joined WBS as a faculty member in 2017 teaching on Strategy. She is currently a Deputy Programme Director for the MBA Programme. Dr. Vilakazi has rich corporate experience in customer strategy design and implementation, having recently resigned from Alexander Forbes where she was heading up Customer Experience for the Group. Prior to Alexander Forbes she worked for Nedbank Group as a Customer Insights Manager and for Nedbank Retail as a Senior Segment Manager responsible for a customer strategy design.

While at Alexander Forbes Dr Vilakazi worked closely with the CEO, Andrew Darfoor, to document the Alexander Forbes Business Turnaround Strategy implementation process as a case study. Dr. Vilakazi started her career in Social and Political Research at the Human Sciences Research Council before moving on to Market Research, working for global research agencies such as Research International and Ipsos Markinor. She is currently affiliated with Kantar Global Research as a consultant on Customer Experience Strategy and Research. A mother to a gorgeous 9 year old daughter, Sibongile is passionate about building the South Africa we deserve. A South Africa that her daughter will grow up to be proud of and thrive in as an adult woman. As such, Sibongile is involved in numerous formations and initiatives that contribute to building the country.
